ARRIVAL

Car Park - When arriving by taxi or car, head into the underground carpark underneath the resort.  Follow the brown signs to the Refuge du Montagnard and park near the door.  The door leads you straight onto the 3rd floor, which is our floor.

To book a car parking space, follow the instructions on the Les Arcs 1950 website http://www.arc1950.com/en/book-a-covered-car-park-in-arc-1950.html

Key collection -  To collect the apartment's door keycards (and key codes for the ski lockers),  go to Reception on the 5th floor of the Refuge du Montagnard. If Reception is unmanned,  go to the Reception of the Hameau du Glacier which is directly opposite and is manned 24 hrs a day.

Timings - The apartment will be available from 4pm.  You should leave by 10am on the day of your departure.

SKI PASS OFFICE

The Ski Pass Office is situated directly opposite the front of the Refuge du Montagnard on the right of the Hameau du Glacier.

You can buy any amount of days that you wish and they will also offer blood wagon cover.

You can buy a pass for all the Les Arcs and to cover you in La Plagne.

Again, go to the Les Arcs 1950 website for more details https://en.lesarcs.com/ski-pass.html

SKI LOCKERS

When you check in, you will receive key codes for the locker rooms which are on the 1st floor.  These have access directly onto the piste.  The access is just below where ski school meets so if time is tight and you have not got time to do a chair lift and run down to the village you may wish to take your kit up to the 5th floor hall where you can put your boots on and ski straight out to the ski school meeting point.

SKI SCHOOL/LESSONS

If you wish to use an English speaking company, we  highly recommend  using AIM - go to https://www.ski-aim.com/

Ski school and private lessons are also available from ESF

BOOT AND SKI RENTAL

There are several options of where to rent or buy ski equipment in the village.

If you go to the Les Arcs 1950 website, you will find contact details of all shops.

DOCTORS

There is a doctor in the village.  Head towards the clock tower and turn left towards La Vache Rouge and the Bar O Chaud.  On the left of the bar there are some steps down.  Take these and you will find the doctors on the left.

I hope that this page answers some of your logistical questions but do not hesitate to contact us if you have any other questions.

RESTAURANTS

Just couple of our favourite restaurants.

Nonna Lisa - Underneath the Apartment.  Perfect for the family fondue night and also do take-away pizzas which can be a life saver if you arrive late.

Chalets de L'Arc - Under the top of the Marmotte Lift,  Arcs 2000. Perfect for eating out in the sun or if cold in front of a fire.

SHOPS

The Supermarket in 1950 has everything you need and more.  It has all the essentials and the added bonus of a counter downstairs where you can find homemade lasagnas, quiches, bolognaise sauces, cooked chickens and tarteflettes.

You will find the shop to the right of the clock tower in the centre of the village.

The Bakery, opposite the supermarket, makes the most delicious croissants and treats to start your day with and filled baguettes and paninis for quick lunches.

The Spa has several pools to relax in as well as steam rooms and saunas.  Most massages and beauty treatments are available too.

BABYSITTING

Babysitting and a nursery club are available in the village at the Cariboo Club.  We have not used them but their details are on the Les Arcs Website https://en.lesarcs.com/services-babysitters.html
